Making New Year’s Resolutions —001

Teaching Note:
1st Party; How to Gain Clarity; & Setting Intentions

Hello & Welcome!!! We are so thankful that you are joining us on this journey of seeking truth and clarity while learning how to create a life of joy, peace and abundance.

Although this is a very complex universe and the teachings we will be covering are from old text and new text, we are going to do our best to break it down into simple and easy-to-use exercises. It is going to take some time and practice, but once you start with these exercises, you will begin to see changes in your life.

So the plan is to start each podcast with a teaching note and then we will go into a discussion about it, to make it even more clear.

First things first— this is a simple but important exercise that will help with this journey. I am going to speak to you, using I, me, & my language, rather than you, & your language. Otherwise known as 1st Party. This is an exercise that will really help us gain clarity. So, as we go through this work, you may notice that we will be using this exercise to allow you to take a look at how it can empower you by teaching you to listen. Here’s an example: You know when you are driving down the road and you stop because you see a Unicorn? Okay, well, this is a unique experience so instead I switch it over to 1st party. Like this: I was driving down the road, and stopped because I saw a unicorn. Okay, so that is what you are going to notice with 1st party. It’s about listening to yourself so you can hear what it is you are creating. This is because what you talk about is what you create.

Alright, so that is 1st party. And you will hear this repeated many times, so you will get it. We will in fact be repeating many of these exercises because it is proven thru research that we all need to hear things multiple times to be able to rewire or reprogram the brain.

Next, we are going to cover How to Gain clarity, your clarity. You already know your truth. You know what you want, you know what you like.

So, again, you would switch it over to 1st Party — I already know my truth, I already know what I want, I already know what I like. However, you may not be able to hear it. The exercise for this, is to get quiet, and listen, and then, ask — “What is my truth? What do I like? What do I want?” Ask each one of these questions, and listen to your body. Your body will be your guide on this journey.

If you don’t hear or notice anything right away, just know this will take some practice, but another way to go about it, would be to go into what you don’t like, or don’t want. This seems to be the case for most. I have noticed that many people only talk about what they don’t like, or don’t want. So, try that. Make a list of things you don’t like or want and then switch them into the language of what you Do like and Do want.

This is what I call rewiring. & This is because the brain is already wired or programmed this way. So, you may hear me stop and say, CLEAR, REWIRE while in discussion. This is because I am allowing, me, to HEAR myself. Like I said before, make sure you get quiet and LISTEN. Because you already know your truth.

Ok, another way to find clarity on what you want is by looking at the past Year. Begin by thinking about… What Am I Thankful for this past Year? Be honest. This is only for you. What is it you are truly thankful for experiencing in this past Year? If you have trouble with this, go with simple things like— I am thankful for… the air I breathe, the food I eat, the shelter I live in, the sunshine… How do you feel when you think of the things you are grateful for? (pay attention to this feeling) — a feeling is not necessarily the name we give it, it is more like a warm heart, a comfort, feeling relaxed. We will go more into the body in a later podcast (episode). But just try to feel it if you want.

It may again be easier to notice the feelings that are uncomfortable, so let’s take a quick moment and notice one thing you don’t like, that upsets you— notice where it is in the body. How does it feel? Now go back to something that you love, like chocolate, or sunshine, or coffee or a hug from a loved one. Okay, so take some time to make this list, or just have an idea of what you want to write down for later.

So, I’m going to switch over into 1st party again. It is important to know what I want, because if I’m not clear on what I want, how can it come to me? Okay, so now just know this universe is designed with Laws we all live by and we will be discussing a number of these Laws throughout HLS podcasts.

Alright. So, now that you know what you want, and like, let’s take the next step. The next step is Setting Intentions — Setting intentions is the next step to creating what I want. So, let’s start practicing setting intentions. The purpose for setting intentions is to create clarity for the experiences or things I want. For Example: What is it I want to gain from listening to this podcast? So, like this, you say it like this, “I am allowing myself to hear what it is I need to hear in this podcast to begin to create my life the way I want to experience it.” Then you relax. Relax. When you doubt, you don’t allow your true power to take over and just make it happen.

So, that’s it for the teaching note. The results of utilizing these concepts or exercises should help you with Making New Year’s Resolutions.
